Pittsburgh’s premiere hand bell ensemble is coming to Unity Presbyterian Church! If you have not yet had the chance to experience their unconventional musical excellence, now is your chance!
The May concert is entitled “Swingin’ Bronze” and it’ don’t mean a thing til you hear bronze bells swing…… that’s what YOU will hear when you come on Saturday evening, May 20th. Join the Three Rivers Ringers for the hopping, boppin , show stoppin’ hits of this past American century! They will play ragtime, swing, the blues, rock ‘n’ roll, and gospel with hits from Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, The Beach Boys, Journey and much more. Plan a date night out with your neighborhood friends and share the joys that Unity has to offer with others who love toe-tapping music! The concert starts at 7:00 and is followed by a reception when you can enjoy talking with the performers and see the bells up close!
Founded in 2010, The Three Rivers Ringers, is group of local musicians who decided to push the envelope using the hand bell medium. Their musical success has been a catalyst for blossoming into a full non-profit organization and member of the Pittsburgh Arts Council. Please read more on the About Us section of their website.
