Blessing of the Animals 2021

Register Now for the “Blessing of the Animals” at Unity Presbyterian Church- Register HERE

Registrations are now being taken for your beloved family pets to be honored at the popular “Blessing of the Animals” service, Saturday, June 26 from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Road, Green Tree.

Arrive early for a free, refreshing ice cream treat offered to the first 100 persons attending! Also new this year will be a special Pet Food Drive to benefit families of the Unity Food Bank. Donations of new unopened canned boxed/bagged pet food will be accepted.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the service will once again be a “drive-through” event in the back “barking lot” of the church. All CDC social-distancing guidelines in effect on the day of the event will be followed, and face masks should be worn.  Animals should be current on vaccinations.

Pastor Dennis W. Molnar will personally visit each vehicle to offer a unique blessing over family pets. Animal rescue organizations volunteers will be available to share information on the multiple benefits of pet adoption. Some rescued animals may also be available for adoption.

Pets will receive a customized “Certificate of Blessing,” plus the opportunity to have a free color photo taken with their owner. The recently opened PetPeople store in Marshall’s Plaza, will provide “goodie bags” for those attending.

While unregistered pets will not be turned away, “pet parents” are encouraged to pre-register for the blessing service by calling the Church Office at 412-561-2431 or pre-register HERE
