The Care Team

Members of The Care Team have a very altruistic and critical role at Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church. This group of volunteers visits with the shut-in or housebound members of the congregation. These include the handicapped, elderly, those in assisted living and nursing homes – or any individual who, for some reason, cannot physically make to church. In some instances, the recipients of The Care Team visits are very much alone, and this provides a much needed connection with the outside world.

The housebound or shut-in members report these interactions really lift their spirits, in addition to maintaining their connection to our church and its congregation. The Care Team is always looking for volunteers, and if you would like to help with their efforts, please contact Linda Aspinall at [email protected]

The Care Team’s next meeting for Thursday, April 21st, was rescheduled due to a funeral. The meeting will be Thursday, April 28th, at 10:00am in the church lounge.
