Communion
If you cannot be personally present at a worship service, our deacons will take the communion elements to you upon request. If you are visiting our church, our deacons will gladly find a seat for you and assist with any needs you may have.
Mission Projects
The Board of Deacons at Unity Presbyterian Church reaches out to the community with mission projects such as:
- a coat drive for for the benefit of the South Hills Interfaith Ministries;
- A sweater drive to benefit local missions (to include Food Pantry clients)
- Visit Homebounds;
- sponsor of the church picnic;
- a “Holiday Project … for Children”, working along with the Allegheny County’s Department of Human Services’ Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF).
- Extending the “Holiday Project” of gift giving to local nursing homes
- Deliver “Goodie Baskets” to homebounds at Christman and Easter
